Andalusians De Sonador is a small breeding facility located in Northwest Washington State. We have owned and bred Andalusians for 25 years. We were one of the founding members of the Northwest Andalusian Association. We were regional representatives of the American Andalusian Horse Association before the merge of the two associations. We believe in producing the traditional style of Andalusian. Our horses carry the old bloodlines. Leonardo, our stallion, is the son of Legionario III, the Champion of Champion of Spain. His bloodline can be traced back over 500 years on his sire's side. Legionario III was purchased in Spain by the Garrison Ranch. Legionario III was considered a Spanish Treasure and almost never made it to America. Over the years we have shown our horses in conformation, saddle seat, jumping (my favorite), dressage, cross country, driving, hunter hack, etc. In the beginning we shipped to California and showed our horses at the Andalusian shows when this was the only west location showing our breed. When the two associations began having their troubles we settled on showing in open competition locally. Leonardo has produced many lovely foals both pure and part-bred over his 22 years. Although a senior stallion, he is still playful as a youngster. His bloodline is known for longevity. Leo throws beautiful conformation, excellent bone and temperament. Our farrier will attest to the structure of his hooves. He has never owned a pair of shoes. He is a gentle breeder, a true gentleman. Our family consists of an old married couple and our two teenage sons (15 and 16). The boys help with the horse care. Other members of the family are the three barn cats and three Newfoundland dogs. We are also breeders of Newfoundland dogs. Please keep in mind that I am new to making Web pages. If you have any problems with this web site, please let me know. I am not new to breeding the finest of Andalusian horses and part-bred Andalusians. For more information or to contact us. We can be reached at Loisbax@hotmail.com or (360) 398-9529. |
